The primary focus of the Laborer is to assist all self-perform construction disciplines in completing scheduled work. General duties will include general housekeeping of the site and work areas, stocking of materials and deliveries, selective demolition, scaffold erection, equipment maintenance and overall self-perform trade support. This position is expected to work within a 90-mile radius of the city of Pittsburgh, and will be an employee of the Pittsburgh, PA office location.Our Success Story:It all started in 1997 when Joe Leonello and his father started their own construction firm. We are looking to add a Laborer to our growing team!What you'll do:General housekeeping and maintenance of overall site cleanliness.General support of the self-performing trades i.e., stock materials and equipment, assist in installations, clean-up etc.Safely load and unload building material deliveries.Verify delivery quantities.Stock deliveries to designated construction areas as required.Have working knowledge of general construction activities and construction sequencing to properly assist self-perform trades.Have working knowledge of construction and construction sequencing to safely and effectively perform selective demolition work.Safely install, maintain, and dismantle all site logistical items including but not limited to site fencing, site office area, tool trailer storage areas, material lay-down areas and pedestrian barricades and signage.Safely erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding systems for daily construction activities.Maintain production quantities as outlined by the project schedule.Respond in an expeditious and timely manner to all work requests regarding general laborer activities.Perform general safety checks and equipment maintenance, as required.Inspect small tools to ensure they are in proper working order and fluid levels are within normal operating ranges.Provide input on jobsite logistics, organization, layout, equipment, and manpower utilization.Clean project site and maintain order with all tools and equipment.Have knowledge of foundations, building structures, and construction sequencing.Perform clean-up procedures.Adhere to comprehensive project safety and security programs as defined in the company safety program in accordance with all applicable safety codes and regulations.Meet with the Safety Director and complete mandatory safety training prior to start of employment.Additional tasks as necessary and/or assigned.What you'll need to be familiar with:Results driven.Strong project and time management.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Your success story:Previous experience within the construction industry preferred, but not required.What we offer you in return:Competitive salary and benefits package which includes, medical, dental, and vision, 401(k), employee wellness, supplemental insurance, paid time off, education and training, quarterly jobsite lunches, holiday parties, and so much more!Do you have additional questions?Please reach out to our Human Resources Manager for more information!What are you waiting for?Apply today!Franjo Construction Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Prohibited by the Company include, but are not limited to, the following:Any misrepresentation of facts or falsification of records, including falsification of employment applications, resumes or any Company pre- or postemployment forms, and any other form of dishonesty.Must be able to pass a 7 year background check.
