Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Ortho unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care settings and the ability to handle a diverse patient load effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for up to 6 med/surg ortho patients simultaneously.
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, and central line maintenance.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Document all care provided in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Communicate efficiently with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute med/surg experience within the last year.
• Preferred: 2+ years of ortho nursing experience.
