Job Summary

The Civil Project Engineer/Manager will lead and manage civil engineering projects, including design, construction support, project schedules, budgets, contracts, and coordination with clients, public agencies, and technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple civil engineering projects from design through construction.
• Supervise and coordinate technical and design staff.
• Manage construction documents, contracts, schedules, and project budgets.
• Prepare contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate construction support and field activities.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, public agencies, and internal teams.
• Perform conceptual and preliminary civil engineering design studies.
• Prepare and process regulatory and public improvement plans.
• Conduct constructability reviews.
• Provide construction support and technical coordination.
• Apply civil engineering principles and procedures to project design.
• Lead project planning, direction, and decision-making.
• Establish project goals, schedules, and priorities.
• Maintain strong client and project stakeholder relationships.
• Use AutoCAD/Civil 3D for civil engineering and design work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
• California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5–10 years of relevant civil engineering experience , or 8–12 years equivalent industry experience .
• Minimum 3 years of management experience supervising technical staff .
• Demonstrated project management, leadership, and supervisory experience.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and construction documents.
• Experience with construction support and field coordination.
• Experience with civil engineering design and public improvement plans.
• Ability to perform constructability reviews.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design, and project planning.
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience required.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound project decisions.
