Associate’sdegree in marketing, Digital Media, Communications,GraphicArtsorrelatedfield. AbilitytouseAdobe CreativeCloudsoftware(Illustrator,Photoshop,InDesign, Premier Pro,etc.) and Canva,with strong graphic design, photo or video skills. ProficientinMicrosoftOffice and GoogleWorkspace. Strongworkingknowledgeofsocialmediaplatforms. Demonstratedabilityofstrongcommunicationandinterpersonalskills. Excellentverbaland writtencommunication skills. Knowledgeofcurrentpublicrelations,marketingandcommunityrelationsprinciples. Publicspeakingskills. Strongorganizationalskills,withtheabilitytosetprioritiesandmanagemultiple projects simultaneously. Sound judgment. Validdriver’slicenseandpropervehicleinsuranceorabilityto travel. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Helpmanagekeysocialmediachannels and profiles including but not limited to:Facebook,Instagram, Google Business Profileand others, as appropriate. Develop communications content to be delivered in various formats including via online, print distribution, video, digital and other mediums as needed. Assists in the deliveryofprogrammingandotherlibrarymaterialstolocalbusinessesandorganizations as needed. Assistinthedevelopment/updatingoffacilitywidepatronhandouts and other promotional materials. Attendmeetings,continuingeducationprograms, and conferencesto stayinformed about trends, issues and best practices in public relations and marketing within libraries. Assistinthedevelopment,coordinationandexecutionoffacilitywideprograms, events and displays. ServeasliaisonbetweentheLibraryandcommunity/communitypartners,alongsideor in the absence of the Head of Marketing & Communications. Participates in Library wide committees and events. Serves as Person in Charge of the Library as needed (PICL). Otherdutiesasassigned. Location Antioch Public Library District, Lake County Hours 37.5 hours per week.
