Forklift / Shipping & Receiving Associate

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

• Rotating Weekend Overtime: Saturday & Sunday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM

Compensation

• Starting Rate – Laborer: $21.31/hour

• Upon Qualification: $25.47/hour

Position Summary

QuickPro Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift / Shipping & Receiving Associate to support shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory operations in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to safely move and load materials while following shipping instructions and plant safety procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely transport, load, and unload products for customer shipments and deliveries.

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the facility.

• Follow all plant safety rules, procedures, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

• Obtain shipping pick plans from the Shipping Office and review loading specifications.

• Travel to the appropriate storage area to locate and select the correct products for shipment.

• Transport materials from storage areas to the designated loading area.

• Communicate with truck drivers and safely load the correct products onto trailers according to the pick plan and weight distribution requirements.

• Perform product inventory counts on a predetermined schedule.

• Organize and segregate products into designated storage areas.

• Load and unload incoming raw materials, including fiberglass rolls and dry felt rolls.

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing parts, equipment, and miscellaneous materials.

• Inspect product packaging and rework out-of-specification packaging when necessary.

• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.

• Communicate material, inventory, shipping, or safety concerns to supervision.

• Complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Abilities

Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage materials, equipment, shipping information, and job-related documentation.

Communication: Ability to communicate relevant and timely information clearly and professionally with coworkers, supervisors, truck drivers, and other personnel.

Follow-Through: Ability to complete assigned responsibilities accurately and on time. Must be self-motivated and able to recognize tasks that need to be completed without constant direction.

Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues, think through problems, and develop practical solutions in a timely manner.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience preferred.

• Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be able to follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Reliable attendance and dependable work habits are required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and maneuver throughout the workday.

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.

• Ability to load, unload, move, and position materials and products.

• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
