Details Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM 12-week contract assignment 1-2 weekday call shifts per week and 1 weekend call per month May float within facility scope of practice and to an additional nearby hospital location as needed Preferred experience with Epic charting system Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting Community hospital experience required Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Current ACLS and BLS certifications required CCI RCIS certification required Prior travel experience required License required if applicable Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy Experience with IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion preferred Proficient in EKG lead placement, arrhythmia recognition and interpretation, and maintaining a sterile field Experience scrubbing and serving as room circulator preferred Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and rapid response/code team protocols Experience with thrombolysis/thrombectomy procedures Comfortable working across ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings Additional Information Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including stent placements, angioplasty, and temporary pacemaker insertion Support IVC filter placement and neurological studies/procedures Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of consideration No RTO can be requested during orientation week If 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage is expected with no holiday RTO available If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage of two holidays is expected with one holiday RTO request eligible for review Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day Local candidates accepted at the same rate First-time travelers are not considered for this position Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid scheduling delays Scrub attire required for clinical duties American Traveler Job ID P-746896.
