What You Will Do Lily's Toaster Grills is seeking an experienced Human Resource Generalist to lead Lily's core Human Resources activities including hiring, onboarding, training, payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The Human Resource Generalist will support our on-site production team and hourly associates across three shifts. This position will report directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Lead recruiting efforts by managing job descriptions, job postings, application screening, and interview coordination for hourly employees.
- Full-cycle hiring in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. Manage new hire orientation, onboarding, and team member exit processes.
- Maintain HR policies and procedures, including employee handbooks and training programs.
- Lead learning and development training programs, including, but not limited to orientation, functional job training, safety, workplace behavior, etc.
- Assist in administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and time-off policies.
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers - translating payroll, insurance, retirement, and broader HR communications for a diverse Spanish- and English-speaking workforce.
- Manage and track workers' compensation claims, including maintaining accurate records and coordinating communication with the insurance provider.
- Work with production leads to coordinate labor scheduling, time tracking, and payroll processing, preparing and distributing weekly reports on time and with accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with I-9, ADA, LOA/FMLA/FAMLI, COBRA, and all federal and state requirements, while keeping management informed of upcoming regulatory changes and their potential impact on the company.
- Address team member relations matters by mediating disputes, facilitating effective communication, and conducting thorough, impartial investigations into employee complaints and workplace concerns.
- Lead various office administration functions including managing building access and maintaining office supplies.
- Partner with functional leaders to develop team member relations programs - including recognition, awards, and company events that strengthen culture.
- Remain available and flexible to support HR activities and operations across all three shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years professional experience in Human Resources.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Human Capital Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with payroll software is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting.
- $80,000-$95,000 salary + 7.5% bonus
