6G Welder

Summary: The ASME BPE Welder is responsible for performing welding activities in accordance with ASME BPE (Bioprocessing Equipment) standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform welding activities using various techniques, including orbital welding, manual TIG welding, and manual orbital welding, in accordance with ASME BPE standards. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures. Select and set up welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and calibration for each project. Inspect welds to ensure they meet ASME BPE standards for quality, integrity, and hygiene. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and regulations. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to ASME BPE welding. Design, create and build necessary jigs or fixtures to ensure work area stability.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical 6G certifications and training in welding required. Minimum of five years of experience as a welder, with a focus on ASME BPE standards. Proficiency in various welding techniques, including orbital welding, manual TIG welding, and manual orbital welding. Willingness and desire to learn and receive training as needed. Familiarity with ANSI AWS & ASME BPE standards and regulations, including material requirements, surface finishes, and weld quality criteria. Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high‑quality welds. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues as they arise. Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also following instructions and guidelines from supervisors and project managers. Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant safety protocols and regulations. Proficient with precision measurement tools.
