Lead Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We look for formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We require advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.

• We seek an advanced understanding of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We want demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes within a technical domain such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We require in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• We look for demonstrated experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns across teams and functions, including governance for human-in-the-loop validation, traceability, auditability, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs.
• We need a strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations at scale, including security and resiliency considerations, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance.
• We require practical cloud-native experience.
• Preferred: experience with infrastructure architecture design.
• Preferred: experience with AWS EKS and GCP GKE ecosystems.
• Preferred: knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
• Preferred: familiarity with multiple cloud platforms.
• Preferred: proficiency with database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Cockroach.

• We execute creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, and we tackle problems beyond conventional approaches.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to remove or automate recurring issue remediation to improve operational stability across applications and systems.
• We set strategy and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering across a portfolio, using enterprise-authorized tools to improve delivery speed, reliability, and code quality.
• We define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams and functions.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation at scale.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within existing systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
