Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. Start date: 08/31/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,621–$1,682. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: inpatient adult/geriatric med-surg unit (48 beds). This travel position is a temporary assignment with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric med-surg patients with high-acuity needs, including sepsis, respiratory failure/COPD, AKI/renal failure, post-op and trauma care, GI/bowel obstruction, cardiac conditions, diabetes, and confusion/AMS.
- Monitor patients, administer medications, manage IV access (peripheral, PICC/central lines), and support oxygen therapy (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula) as needed.
- Perform wound care, wound VAC management, ostomy care, and support post-op and dialysis-related needs.
- Assist with procedures and therapies (blood product administration, phlebotomy, PCA, CBI) and provide isolation precautions with appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Interpretation services) and participate in Rapid Response/Code events as required.
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain patient safety through escalation when needed.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho or Compact license in hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- Minimum: 2 years RN clinical experience preferred; travel experience required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in an adult/geriatric med-surg setting
- Orientation: 24 hours onsite prior to start
- Pre-approved time off: up to 1 shift per contract
