Demand Planner

Global Demand Planner – OmniOn Power This role reports to the Global Demand Planning Manager and is based in Plano, Texas. The Global Demand Planner is responsible for creating, analyzing, and maintaining accurate demand plans that support the company's supply chain operations and product development. Responsibilities Lead and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives to optimize on‑time delivery, lead times, inventory, stocking plans, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business Units, Product Management, Customer Service, and Operations to achieve consensus on demand forecasts and align them with inventory management and production planning. Assemble and analyze data to create unconstrained demand plans across multiple product lines for the assigned business unit. Provide demand insights during monthly demand review meetings with Commercial Sales, Finance, and Operations. Build and maintain statistical forecast models and provide forecast baselines for long‑term periods (18–24 months). Develop and maintain a metric dashboard in Excel and automate reports in Power BI. Guide global demand for specific products and assist in consolidating worldwide demand plans across multiple manufacturing locations, covering revenue projections, inventory, new product introductions, and product life cycle management. Create and maintain rolling 18–24‑month unconstrained demand forecasts for assigned products. Review and improve forecast accuracy at both aggregate product line and individual product levels by identifying root causes and implementing initiatives to enhance future accuracy. Coordinate new product launches, phase‑outs, and platform changes with Product Management and incorporate changes into the demand plan. Support monthly supply reviews by creating monthly demand plans by unit, revenue, and COGS for each manufacturing facility. Perform standard and ad‑hoc detailed analysis of planning metrics, identify root causes for non‑performance, and drive improvement initiatives. Continuously enhance demand planning processes and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency, contributing to overall organizational growth. Ensure activities comply with OmniOn Power’s core values, health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies. Qualifications BS/BA or equivalent degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Planning, Master Scheduling, Purchasing, or a related field. Proven experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar forecasting and planning role in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Comfortable with iterative, hypothesis‑driven analysis. Action‑oriented, resilient, and strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Advanced degree is a plus. Knowledge of forecast impacts within MRP functions and consumption forecasting. Expertise with SAP IBP. Experience with ERP systems, inventory management, demand and production planning, and material master data. Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI) and with MS Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power Query. Expertise with R and Python. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, supply chain processes, and production planning. Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM are desirable.
