Eastland Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Oxford, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable bookkeeping professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to play an important role in a well-established real estate development and construction company.

You’ll work closely with another Senior Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting needs of multiple construction, real estate, and property management entities. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently, and experienced with construction accounting software.

What You’ll Do

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple entities
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare vendor and subcontractor payments
• Monitor cash activity and daily bank balances
• Assist with monthly and year-end closings
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Track intercompany transactions
• Assist with construction draws and project-related accounting
• Prepare weekly financial and management reports
• Maintain accurate job-cost, WIP, prepaid expense, and liability records
• Work in tandem with another Senior Bookkeeper to ensure deadlines are met and accounting functions run smoothly
• Provide additional accounting support as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience with a strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Experience in construction, real estate development, or property management
• Experience working with construction accounting software
• Strong accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation skills
• Experience managing accounting activity across multiple companies or entities
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• A dependable, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
