Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit setting
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Potential to float to additional units to care for the same patient population as needed
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry; recent Med/Surg Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• No open background case or license hits; all required certifications must be active with nothing pending

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of permanent experience within a single facility location
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
