Staff Accountant

Job Description Marklund in Geneva is hiring a Staff Accountant. This is a full‑time position based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The schedule is Monday‑Friday from 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM. Salary ranges from $65,000‑$70,000 based on qualifications and experience. A hybrid option is available with two work‑from‑home days a week after completion of the 90‑day training period. About Marklund Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational, and therapy services to individuals with profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. The organization operates two residential locations: the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin. Marklund also offers day programs for children, young adults, and adults, both on‑site and in the community. Responsibilities Review and approve account distributions for A/P vouchers. Verify cash receipts for Marklund versus check log. Reconcile all bank statements. Acquire and maintain skills to run the accounting software utilized by Marklund. Process fixed assets. Prepare journal entries. Reconcile charity cash receipts. Prepare for assigned audit schedules. Participate in budget preparation. Prepare assigned cost report schedules. Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.
