FINANCIAL MANAGER

Job Duties
You will support the full spectrum of Working Capital Fund financial management functions, including financial and cost accounting, budgeting, equipment and property accounting, financial reporting and financial audit.
You will make recommendations and prepare background financial information and data to guide the management decisions of the NRL Comptroller/Head, FMD.
You will assume the full range of roles and duties in the absence of the NRL Comptroller/Head, Financial Management Division.
You will serve as an advisor to the NRL Comptroller/Head, FMD on financial matters and financial strategy while making recommendations on such subjects as civilian personnel management, carryover, financial metrics, etc.
You will ensure the proper development, formulation, maintenance and enhancement of existing and future software systems used in financial and resource management.
You will periodically collaborate with information technology groups responsible for the implementation and sustainment of business management software and technology.
You will ensure the proper development of formal policy issuances, execution of studies, intranet and internet webpage content management and workflow/process streamlining.
