Legal Manager

Duration: 12 Month (Possibilities of extension) Location: New York, NY Hybrid: 4 days in office per week REQUIRED: ISDA master agreement DRAFTING & NEGOTIATION experience * **** Investment Management Agreement and Separately Managed Account experience a plus* Buy side experience preferred but NOT required Top 3 Skills: Experience negotiating repurchase agreements and other industry standard agreements (REQUIRED) Experience with separately managed account and investment management agreements preferred but NOT required (will train) Buy side industry experience plus Primary Responsibil The role will have a primary focus on the negotiation of investment management agreements for the segregated account client base as well as trading and derivative documentations. The individual will be responsible for project managing the workload and maintaining/ developing relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Client Relationship Management and Take-on teams, Legal & Compliance, Portfolio Management teams). Areas of expertise of the following areas are desirable: Sound understanding of the asset management industry and knowledge of the client base of an institutional asset manager. Knowledge of trading and derivative documentations as well as investment management agreements and ancillary agreements and understanding of financial services regulation, including understanding of current regulatory framework relating to asset management and derivatives;working knowledge of funds in general and of other commercial contracts with clients, distributors, intermediaries or other agents within the asset management sector and at least 5 years PQE in a major law firm and/or in-house at a sell-side or buy-side financial institution. Skills Any candidate should possess the skills and qualities normally present in lawyers with at least 5 years PQE with the above background.
