Radiographer II

The Radiographer II performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures with technical expertise and competency under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Diagnostic Team Leader. This role requires knowledge of radiographic equipment, departmental workflow, and patient care standards to ensure optimal imaging quality and radiation safety. The Radiographer II also supports training, documentation, and compliance with hospital and regulatory policies. Key Responsibilities Diagnostic imaging: Perform and assist in general diagnostic procedures producing optimal imaging quality. Equipment operation: Operate radiographic equipment and select appropriate technical factors and safety devices. Patient care: Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and adherence to departmental standards. Radiation safety: Follow ALARA principles, federal/state guidelines, and maintain dosimeter badge usage. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, demographics, and exam documentation in compliance with HIPAA. Training & mentoring: Orient and train radiology students and new employees. System management: Maintain integrity and security of the Radiology Information System. Professional development: Complete mandatory education, CE credits, and participate in in-service programs. Team collaboration: Communicate with team leaders regarding unresolved issues and promote professionalism. Required Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in diagnostic imaging. Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and cross‑trained areas. Intermediate knowledge of Radiology Information Systems. Ability to handle multiple tasks with good organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Pediatric imaging experience. Required Education High School Diploma or GED. Technical diploma from a radiology program. Completion of hospital and Radiology Department mandatory education annually. Ongoing continuing education as required for the role. Certifications & Licensure Radiology Technologist (RT) certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved provider (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross). Completion of 12 CE credits per year for ARRT compliance (6 credits offered through Radiology Initiatives). #J-18808-Ljbffr Compunnel, Inc.
