Operations Manager

Operations Manager | Full-time | Columbia, MD Rebuilding Together Howard County repairs homes for low-income homeowners, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. The Operations Manager plays a central role in the daily operations of Rebuilding Together Howard County, keeping systems, information, and communications running smoothly across the organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO Serve as the first point of contact for volunteers, clients, and community partners by phone, email, and in person Process client applications, verify eligibility, and maintain accurate case files Manage volunteer registration, confirmation, and communication before and after projects Maintain and update the Salesforce database, including clients, volunteers, donors, and grants Assist with financial recordkeeping in QuickBooks, including payments, deposits, and vendor files Support the team with grant reporting, proposal assembly, and donor correspondence Prepare materials for various meetings and maintain documentation / files Help coordinate events including Rebuilding Day and our annual recognition celebration Keep the office running smoothly with organized systems, supplies, and clear communication WHO YOU ARE You have 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit administration, office management, or operations You are organized, reliable, and take ownership of your work You communicate clearly and warmly across a wide range of people and situations You handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism You are comfortable managing multiple priorities independently on a small team You are proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce and/or QuickBooks is a plus You are flexible and willing to occasionally support evening or weekend events (3-4 times per year) You are genuinely motivated by the mission of serving your community We are a small team that is deeply committed to the work we do together.
