Details Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Potential for remote telemetry monitoring in addition to on-unit monitoring Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed Uses Meditech charting system; prior experience preferred but not required Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed Requirements Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required Telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of Rapid Response/Code teams Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use Two professional references required for consideration Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information Orientation held every Monday Holiday coverage required during the assignment Requested time off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum and submitted upfront Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate Travel pairs are accepted Deliver direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele environment with emphasis on cardiac monitoring and telemetry management American Traveler Job ID P-742218.
