Back Office Medical Assistant - Primary Care
Fresno, CA | Full-Time | $23-$24/hour DOE


Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant for a well-established healthcare organization in Fresno. This position will provide hands-on clinical support in a busy Primary Care setting , working closely with physicians, clinical staff, and patients.


We are specifically seeking candidates with previous Family Medicine or Internal Medicine experience . Candidates whose experience has been primarily within a specialty practice may not be the right fit for this particular opening.
What You'll Be Doing

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures
  
  
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other patient information
  
  
• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care and in-office procedures
  
  
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available
  
  
• Perform injections, immunizations, and other clinical tasks within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
  
  
• Assist with medication refills, prescription requests, and physician orders
  
  
• Support referrals, authorizations, laboratory orders, and follow-up care as needed
  
  
• Communicate with patients by phone and in person regarding appointments, instructions, and follow-up needs
  
  
• Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record
  
  
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and established clinical procedures
  
  
• Work collaboratively with physicians, providers, front office staff, and other members of the healthcare team
  
  
• Provide professional and compassionate service in a fast-paced patient care environment

Qualifications

• Previous Back Office Medical Assistant experience required
  
  
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required
  
  
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent qualifying Medical Assistant experience
  
  
• Knowledge of medical terminology and standard clinical procedures
  
  
• Strong computer skills and experience working with electronic medical records
  
  
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  
  
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative healthcare team
  
  
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred

• Pay: $23-$24/hour, depending on experience
