Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that meet diverse communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges, with a focus on both immediate and long-term objectives.
• Provide individualized speech therapy sessions that encompass communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing strategies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, and families to ensure holistic care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate support outside of therapy sessions, emphasizing continuous progress.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and delivery of interventions, ensuring that care is seamless throughout the therapy journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Enhance professional development through ongoing education and collaboration with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if currently not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
