Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients of various ages through standardized evaluations and keen observational techniques.
• Design tailored therapeutic plans addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvement.
• Deliver individual speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing function.
• Collaborate intimately with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to orchestrate seamless care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Contribute to intermittent inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout a patient's recovery process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and institutional policies.
• Engage in lifelong learning and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preference for certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days.
