Description

• Assess patients from various age groups-pediatric, adult, and geriatric-by employing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft tailored intervention plans focused on immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to provide holistic care.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques to foster progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure a seamless continuum of care during the healing journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in continuous education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of employment.
