This is an excellent full-time, direct hire opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about working with children and eager to transition into school nursing. This position serves a campus of approximately 500 students, providing a vital link between healthcare and education.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Previous experience in school nursing is a plus, but not mandatory
• Clinical nursing professionals seeking to transition to school settings should be able to articulate their motivation for this shift
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
• Must confirm comfort with commuting to the Waukegan campus location

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care, triage, and health support to K-8 students throughout the academic year
• Respond to medical emergencies and manage chronic conditions within the school setting
• Communicate regularly with parents, educators, and administrators to coordinate care plans and ensure student safety
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with all regulatory requirements
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
