ENCORE Chef - WYCC (Ongoing Recruitment) Position will be responsible for Food Production. Working directly with Foodservice Management in all aspects of the Food Service Division at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, food preparation, expediting food for all food related events, inventory control, adherence to safe food handling procedures, and all related cleaning tasks. The Part Time Chef will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by the schedule of contracted events. ALL POSITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO DRUG TESTING AND BACKGROUND CHECKS. Qualifications Knowledge of the food industry as to the safe storage, preparation and serving of food and beverage according to rules and regulations of the Wicomico County Board of Health. Must have the ability to prepare and expedite food for all foodservice functions. Must have a high school diploma or a culinary degree, and experience in the food service or hospitality industry. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills relating to planning, organizing, and presenting food services for catering jobs. Computer literacy in food service software is preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to understand work objective and to convey work orders to part-time staff. Must be physically able to lift objects weighing as much as fifty pounds. Required to work nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by the schedule of contracted events. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
