This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with business owners and high-net-worth individuals, providing both tax compliance and strategic advisory services. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax expertise, a client-service mindset, and the ability to independently manage complex engagements while contributing to the growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities - Manage a portfolio of individual and business tax clients from planning through filing - Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns - Advise clients on tax planning, business transactions, and wealth preservation strategies - Research technical tax matters and develop practical solutions - Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive recommendations - Build and maintain strong client relationships through consultative service - Support process improvements, technology initiatives, and operational efficiencies - Mentor and develop junior team members Minimum Qualifications - Active CPA license required - 8+ years of public accounting tax experience - Experience with individual, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate tax returns - Strong knowledge of complex tax matters and multi-state filings - Ability to independently manage client relationships and engagements - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients - Exposure to estate, trust, or wealth
