This role is approximately 80% hands-on software engineering and solution delivery and 20% technical leadership and mentoring.The ideal candidate will lead technical design, contribute production code, drive modernization , and help scale highly available applications while partnering closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps teams. This role does not have formal people-management responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver new functionality across cloud-native .NET applications running on AWS.Enhance, modernize, scale, and optimize existing enterprise applications and services.Design and implement RESTful APIs, web services, and distributed application components.Drive application resiliency, scalability, performance, security, and observability best practices.Contribute production-quality code and participate in architecture, design, code review, testing, deployment, and production support activities.Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, Release Management, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to onshore and offshore engineering teams.Participate in technical planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and agile delivery activities.Develop and maintain technical documentation, application workflows, and architecture artifacts.Support engineering leadership through technical metrics, delivery reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.What are we looking for?We want strong collaborators who can deliver a world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.Requirements Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience designing and developing enterprise web applications, APIs, and distributed systems using the .NET technology stack.Minimum of 5 years of experience serving in a Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Software Engineering Lead role delivering complex software solutions.Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.Strong hands-on development experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, and Angular (Angular 8+ preferred).Experience with Git-based source control and modern CI/CD practices within Agile software delivery environments.Core CompetenciesDeep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and service-oriented architecture principles.Strong expertise designing scalable, resilient, and high-performing enterprise applications.Ability to lead technical discussions, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineering teams.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively across business, product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.Experience providing technical estimates and driving successful solution delivery.Strong understanding of SDLC, automated testing, deployment, and release management practices.Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and modern engineering practices.PreferencesExperience building customer-facing applications or self-service portals.Experience developing customer service or workflow-driven applications.Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.Experience with automated testing frameworks including NUnit, JUnit, Jasmine/Karma, or equivalent.Experience modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native architectures.Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Pay Range: $170,800.00 - $284,600.00Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
