Oncology Pharmacy Clinical Specialist, $5,000 Bonus

Pharmacy Clinical Specialist, Oncology The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist I is expected to take responsibility for establishing and expanding clinical services in their area of practice. They will be involved in the development of medication protocols, order sets, and facilitation of medication utilization reviews and performance improvement projects to optimize drug therapy. Additionally, this role will provide mentorship and act as a clinical resource for staff and other healthcare providers in their area of expertise. The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist I will also provide expertise for clinical activities relating to various programs for the department of pharmacy in order to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Furthermore, they will be responsible for drug distributive functions as assigned. Key Responsibilities: Establish and expand clinical services in the area of practice Develop medication protocols and order sets Facilitate medication utilization reviews and performance improvement projects Provide mentorship and clinical resources for staff and healthcare providers Contribute expertise for clinical activities related to pharmacy programs Perform drug distributive functions as assigned Qualifications: Degree: Doctorate Licenses & Certifications: Registered Pharmacist Additional Qualifications: Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). If no residency training, must have 5 years of practice experience in the area of specialty required and Board Certification. If no Board Certification, must have BPS within one year of hire date to remain in this position. PGY1 residency with 2 years of practice experience in the area of specialty and BPS required. PGY2 residency must have BPS within 1 year of hire. (PGY1=3 years of experience and PGY2=2 additional years).
