About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care / Telemetry RN – Tennessee

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Tennessee

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend required, subject to change based on unit needs. Contract length flexible: 13 to 26 weeks available.

Highlights:

• Progressive care unit serving as step-down from ICU, managing patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Medication management includes heparin, cardizem, amiodarone drips, and sotalol initiation protocols
• Telemetry monitoring with cardiac drip management; no ventilators or pressor support on this unit
• 6:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic EMR system utilized; 24 hours of orientation provided
• Floating to similar units may be required based on facility census needs

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care, medical telemetry, or cardiac telemetry experience
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, and cardiac drip protocols
• Competency in BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, blood product administration, and post-cardiac catheterization care preferred
• First-time travelers will be reviewed based on relevant experience
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions available
