This full-time Abatement Technician or Supervisor role leads and supports on-site crews to safely mitigate and remove state- and federally regulated building materials. You will perform demolition and related tasks according to defined scopes of work, strictly follow safety procedures, and ensure projects are completed thoroughly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. The position suits someone with general construction or environmental services experience, or a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow in the abatement field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support abatement crews in the safe mitigation and removal of regulated building materials in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform on-site demolition and abatement tasks as outlined in the project scope of work.
• Follow all required safety procedures and precautions to protect yourself, your team, and building occupants.
• Use construction tools and hand tools to complete demolition, removal, and cleanup activities.
• Assist with site preparation, setup of containment areas, and proper use of equipment and materials.
• Conduct basic inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with peers and supervisors to coordinate tasks and maintain efficient workflow.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal team members and external stakeholders as needed.
• Work after hours and on weekends when required to meet project schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite throughout the duration of each project.
• Operate or assist with the operation of company vehicles for transportation to and from job sites, as assigned.
• Use a cell phone and basic technology tools to receive instructions, document work, and stay in contact with supervisors.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in construction, abatement, or restoration environments; prior experience in these areas is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in basic technology usage such as operating a cell phone for communication and work-related tasks.
• Strong commitment to customer service and professional conduct on job sites.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors in a team-oriented environment.
• Capability to stand for long periods of time and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Willingness and availability to work after hours and weekends when required, with typical working hours of 07:0015:50.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, abatement, or restoration work.
• General knowledge of environmental services and regulated building material handling.
• Experience using construction tools, hand tools, and performing tasks such as carpentry, framing, concrete work, and general labor.
• Basic inspection experience in construction or environmental settings.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on thorough, efficient work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
