Job Summary Assists passengers who have special requirements, such as unaccompanied minors, VIP passengers, and passengers requiring wheelchair assistance. $17.00/hr Responsibilities Assists and transports passengers requiring wheelchair assistance to/from assigned gate. Carries, pushes, lifts, or pulls luggage for any passenger requesting assistance. Safely lifts passengers up/down stairs of aircraft and in/out of wheelchairs. Escorts VIP passengers and unaccompanied minors to/from flights and/or to meet a receiving adult. Reads appropriate paperwork to identify name, flight information, date and special service request details to ensure passengers are taken to the correct destination. Properly tags baggage to ensure they are routed to the correct destination. Gathers wheelchairs in the concourse and returns them to the staging area for use. Minimum Requirements HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Walk short distances. Reach above and/or below shoulder. Handle/grasp documents or office equipment. Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time. Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds. Work in an office environment using standard office equipment. Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
