Essential Duties & Responsibilities Answer directly to the General Manager. Supervise and oversee all hotel associates in cooperation with the GM. Ensure guest survey scores are above brand average and take corrective action. Implement action plans and coaching to achieve the highest possible score. Supervise Guest Service, working with GSM and GSRs to provide excellent service. Coordinate with Executive Housekeeper, GSM, and Chief Engineer to resolve issues immediately. Assist in hiring and separation decisions/procedures. Attend breakfast meetings and interact with guests as required. Participate in all candidate interviews for any hotel position. Work in any department as needed in the absence of the department head or when additional support is required. Lead orientation for new associates: property tours, training programs, and support. Assist GM with payroll, human resources, and time and labor. Collaborate with department heads on scheduling, training, supplies, compliance, and process improvements. Conduct daily guestroom and property inspections. Help prepare and follow up sales and marketing plan, budget, and month‑end reporting. Ensure all corporate office requests are met on time. Perform any other duties that may arise during hotel operation. Qualifications College degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent preferred. Minimum two years of hotel experience as sales manager, guest service manager, or operations manager. Ability to drive, walk, speak, hear, see, and perform moderate physical activity. Professional English written and spoken communication skills. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office, Sales Pro, and ability to learn additional tools. Supervisory Responsibilities Oversee and supervise all associates on property reporting only to the General Manager. In full‑service properties or properties having a Director of Sales, the director reports to the General Manager. Physical Demands Must be able to drive, walk, speak, hear, see, and perform moderate physical activity as required. Must communicate professionally in English both orally and in writing. Decision Making The AGM may make any and all decisions necessary for successful operation of the hotel in the absence of the GM. The AGM has no authority to sign contracts or bind the hotel to any agreement beyond those permitted by corporate policy. Financial Responsibilities Responsible for the achievement of top‑line revenues and bottom‑line profits as outlined in the Sales and Marketing Plan and hotel budget. Must handle cash receipts and ensure all bank deposits are completed daily. Communication Must communicate professionally in English both written and oral, and use computers, Microsoft Office, Sales Pro, and other tools as needed.
