What You Will DoRaytheon's Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team is looking for junior to mid-career engineers who have electronics knowledge to help design robust motor control systems.The EAP Department is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors. Each of these products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V.Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. This circuitry will dominantly involve 3 phase inverter design, sensor interfacing and controller circuits. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.Hands on drafting & designing at a circuit card level.Help to see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking.Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stackup definition.Qualifications You Must HaveRequires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experienceDesign, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following motor types is a plus: Brushed, BLDC or PMSM.Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.Experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.Experience working in a lab setting and/or using lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency generators, power supplies and Data Acquisition Systems.Qualifications We ValueAn advanced degree in Electrical EngineeringA self-starter, a quick learner, be able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills.
