You'll be:Acting as the primary HR contact for store leadership and staffManaging employee relations, conducting investigations, and resolving workplace issuesLeading recruitment and onboarding for hourly and exempt positionsAdvising managers on performance management and corrective actionsEnsuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesAdministering employee benefits, payroll, and leave managementHandling Workers' Compensation, promoting safety, and coordinating return-to-work programsSupporting and delivering training, maintaining accurate HR records, and preparing HR reportsThis job might be an outstanding fit if you:Hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (required)Bilingual in English and Cantonese, Mandarin, or SpanishHave at least 5 years of hands-on HR experience in California in high-volume environments (retail, supermarket, restaurants, manufacturing, warehouse)Possess strong knowledge of Federal, California, and local labor lawsDemonstrate the ability to work independently and use discretion in HR mattersHave experience managing Workers' Compensation and conducting employee investigationsAre highly organized, proactive, and committed to continuous improvementAre proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAre well versed in California HR labor lawsPHR-CA certification is a plusWhat happens nextOnce you apply, you'll be contacted about next steps if your skills and experience are a match.
