Job Title: Inventory Specialist (Order Picker/Cycle Counts)

Job Description

As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for stocking items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Your duties will include receiving and counting stock items, dispatching parts, and recording data to maintain accurate inventory levels. You will also run inventory reports, store items in various areas, inspect parts for damage and nonconformance, verify shipment accuracy, and prepare necessary documentation like work orders and shipping orders. Additionally, you will be tasked with cleaning supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas, reporting broken tools, and loading and unloading using a sit-down forklift and operating an overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Receive and count stock items, dispatch parts, and record data to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Run inventory reports.
• Store items in warehouse, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Inspect parts received and record damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• Verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
• Prepare work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
• Clean supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas.
• Report broken tools.
• Load and unload using a sit-down forklift.
• Operate an overhead crane.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years' forklift experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems/RF scanners
• Experience in order pulling/picking
• Familiarity with a manufacturing environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with heavy forklifts (36K)
• Proficiency with reach trucks and cherry pickers
• Ability to operate an overhead crane

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. We have 10 openings for order picking/cycle counting on the 2nd shift and 2 openings for heavy forklift operators on the 2nd shift. The 2nd shift runs from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, extending to 2:30 AM when necessary. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with the expectation of availability on weekends and overtime as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cypress, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Cypress,TX.
