Senior Estimator
The Norfolk Companies
The Norfolk Companies, a family-founded leader in building materials and remodeling services across New England, is seeking a Senior Estimator to support our wholesale and retail divisions. Based in Dorchester, MA, this role leads detailed material and labor estimates for building supplies, kitchen and bath projects, and remodeling jobs for homeowners and contractors. The Senior Estimator reviews blueprints and specifications, performs quantity takeoffs, sources vendor quotes, and prepares accurate, competitive proposals that support our sales and design teams. You will partner closely with kitchen and bath designers, project managers, and sales staff to clarify scope, identify value engineering options, and ensure smooth project handoffs. Ideal candidates bring strong construction or building materials estimating experience, excellent blueprint reading skills, and deep knowledge of lumber, millwork, hardware, and related products. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative, down-to-earth culture that values craftsmanship, reliability, and long-term customer relationships. The position offers opportunities for professional growth across multiple company divisions in a stable, long-standing local business.
