Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist (CST) for a seasonal travel assignment in an OR specializing in spine and joint procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced technology and experienced staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgeons during procedures such as spine fusions, ALIFs, and total joint replacements by passing instruments and managing equipment.
  
  
• 
  Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols throughout each shift.
  
  
• 
  Document surgical procedures accurately using the EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to on-call requests within a 30-minute window to support emergent needs.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate effectively with OR team members to ensure smooth surgical operations and patient safety.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current CST certification with a minimum of 6 months of recent hospital experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate active BLS, DORA, and NBSTA certifications.
  
  
• 
  Possess practical experience in spine and joint surgeries, including scrubbing for relevant procedures.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  
  
• 
  Have strong communication and teamwork skills to support surgical teams effectively.
