Summary

Serves as the Contractor's liaison, provides supervisory control of all security guards, and monitors daily operations of the guard force.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Provides supervisory control of all security guards assigned to the contract.
• Monitors daily operations and performance of the guard force and conducts inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Ensures compliance with all USGS physical security rules, regulations, directives, post orders, and SOPs.
• Serves as the Contractor's liaison with the COR and Government staff and attends meetings, conferences, and briefings.
• Maintains training records and administrative actions related to guard qualifications and certifications.
• Manages, schedules, and administers initial and recurring training requirements.
• Ensures all contract-required certifications and qualifications remain current.
• Oversees hiring-related personnel actions, credentialing, onboarding, and personnel security requirements.
• Establishes, maintains, and administers guard duty rosters and staffing schedules.
• Assists the COR with the badging and access control program, including PIV card administration and visitor ID issuance.
• Manages the contractor employee safety program.
• Coordinates relief and backfill coverage for lunches, breaks, absences, and staffing shortages.
• Provides reports, records, and required documentation to the COR.
• Assists in developing, revising, and updating SOPs, Post Orders, and security procedures.
• Performs additional supervisory and managerial duties as directed by Ahtna and the COR.
• Provides emergency response support and performs security-related actions as required.
• Serves as a member of the EROS Emergency Management Team (EMT) supporting the Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a multi-shift workforce.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, military, emergency management, physical security, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience managing security personnel, schedules, training programs, and contract compliance activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and security-related software systems.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate Government or company vehicles.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• Experience interacting with Government clients and stakeholders
• Federal contract management experience.
• Experience supporting DHS, DOI, USGS, DoD, FPS, or other federal agencies.
• Experience managing guard force operations.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Experience with access control, badging systems, and emergency management programs.
