Research Study Technician - Pathology (Early Talent)
$23 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a recent or upcoming graduate for a research assistant role in the Post Life Services team in Madison, Wisconsin. The position involves training in necropsy and histology procedures, data documentation, and support for pre-clinical animal research studies.
Responsibilities
- Train in basic necropsy and histology duties and learn applicable anatomic terminology
- Learn euthanasia methods for multiple species in compliance with USDA regulations
- Collect, document, and enter macroscopic observations, tissue collection, and histology data
- Participate in quality controls, error correction, and resource monitoring for equipment and supplies
- Maintain safe and clean work environment and report animal care concerns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry; or Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
- Comfortable working in an animal research facility environment
- Comfortable performing small and large animal necropsy procedures
- Preferred: 6+ months experience with small and large animal dissections
- Preferred: 6+ months experience in animal handling
Compensation: $23/hr
