Clinical Research Technician II (On-Call) / Madison, WI (On-Site)

Fortrea seeks a Clinical Research Technician II (On-Call) in Madison, Wisconsin to support early-phase clinical trials with healthy volunteer participants. The role involves vital signs collection, sample processing, ECG preparation, and protocol compliance monitoring in a fast-paced clinical research environment. Includes six weeks of paid training; open to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs readings: blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiration, temperature
• Prepare and record ECGs and Holter monitors according to protocol specifications
• Collect, process, and distribute biological samples with proper documentation
• Monitor participant meal intake for dietary protocol compliance
• Prepare clinical rooms, maintain equipment, assist with screening procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• EMT, phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred
• 0–1 year of related clinical or research experience
• Comfort with protocol adherence and changing priorities
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic data systems and lab equipment
