Day shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The job requirements and qualifications are non-negotiable.

Requirements

• Must have at least 12 months of permanent medical-surgical/telemetry nursing experience.
• Must possess a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Current American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Willingness to obtain the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to starting the position.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for qualification.

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required for continued employment.
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission; pending certifications will not be accepted.
• Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are exempt from nicotine-free requirements.
• All other travelers must be nicotine-free, and a negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen is required within 12 months of start.
• Background checks will be conducted, and any unresolved cases will disqualify applicants.
• Contract extensions may be available for a period of 18 months, followed by a 6-month break requirement.
• Annual hands-on competency requirements are applicable for continuous contractors and those returning the following calendar year.
