First Capitol Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our small animal practice in St. Charles, Missouri. This is an outstanding opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, surgery, mentorship, and practice growth while continuing to maintain an active clinical caseload.

As Medical Director, you'll partner with hospital leadership to foster a collaborative culture, mentor fellow veterinarians, uphold medical excellence, and help shape the future of a well-established practice. What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff
• Practice high-quality small animal medicine and surgery
• Promote medical excellence and maintain gold standard of care
• Partner with hospital leadership to support hospital growth and strategic initiatives
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
• Support the professional development of associate veterinarians
• Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional communication and patient care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
• Active (or eligible) Missouri veterinary license
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred
• Strong surgical and medical skills with an interest in continuing to grow surgical services
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset
• Passion for progressive, evidence-based medicine and team development

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
