NP/PA, Non-Surgical (Anesthesia/Pain Management)

Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Anesthesiology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary Provides expert comprehensive advanced patient care to pain management patients primarily in the outpatient setting but may include in‑patients when deemed appropriate. Autonomously performs pain management assessments of all patients. Functions as part of a multi‑disciplinary pain management team, collaborating with Anesthesiologists, NPs/PAs, RNs, Physical Therapists, psychophysiologist and other pain management personnel in safely assessing and treating the patient. Education/Experience Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred. Physician Assistants Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies strongly preferred. Minimum of two years Pediatric primary/specialty or acute care setting experience OR 2 years' experience in related allied health field (i.e. family practice setting with heavy component of pediatric patients) strongly preferred. Certification/Licensure Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Current Texas professional registered nurse license Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license Recognition from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse Certification as Pediatric or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Physician Assistants Current Texas professional physician assistant license Recognition from the Texas State Medical Board as a Physician Assistant. Certification as a Physician Assistant PA-C required. Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred * PALS certification is required when assigned to Anesthesiology, Care Team, Complex Care, Fostering Health, H/O, Nephrology, and Neurology departments.
