Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Basic Qualifications Construction or facilities related experience Plumbing, piping, and steam related experience Ability to work independently and support operational requirements for any/all shifts in support of facility operations Willingness to work weekends and holidays when needed Experience developing labor and material cost estimates within departmental budgetary requirements Proven experience within two related trades (e.g., electrical, HVAC‑R, boiler operations) is required Trades and Skills Electrical, plumbing, millwright, machine repair, HVAC‑R, boiler operations Utilize full spectrum leadership across disciplines Familiar with CMMS Must be able to attain and maintain a DOD/TS/SCI Program security clearance Job Description Manage and lead hourly represented facilities maintenance personnel with a focus on plumbing and pipefitting trades. This position may require leading other organizational teams of diverse disciplines in the maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure systems and components. Responsibilities Domestic and process water plumbing systems, fire water systems, steam and boilers, high tension power, domestic, process, and gas utility piping distribution systems, HVAC, chiller plant, and control systems, compressed air systems, overhead cranes & doors, building automation systems, and general facility maintenance. Ensure appropriate application of all elements of the UAW‑LMC Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and apply LMS Facility Risk Management principles & Risk Plans. Customer engagement and support of safety performance for subordinates. Develop work assignments & desired results, direct workforce, and assess individual performance. Ensure maintenance operations comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and LMS ESH. Facilitate routine staff & safety meetings, lead and/or support LMC internal audits and any state or federal audit or assessments. Manage subcontractors in the operation & maintenance of infrastructure systems to ensure they provide services for which they've been contracted. Develop work priorities, meet maintenance work schedules, execute job plans, and operate within departmental budget requirements. Participate in Facility Infrastructure Condition Assessments and energy reduction events. Lead and/or participate in hiring employees and working with them to develop personal & departmental development training plans. Attend & provide usable information for construction project design reviews and scope definition exercises. Perform administrative tasks relative to staff timekeeping, training, & coordinating medical examination schedules.
