About the Role This is a pre‑sales Business Development Associate position. The role is the first point of contact for potential customers, focusing on setting up introductions with our ideal prospects and qualifying their needs. Reports to the Director of Business Development and collaborates closely with Field Sales Representatives. Ideal candidates enjoy discovering the perfect buyer, crafting attention‑grabbing messaging, and building meaningful connections. The position prepares individuals for a full‑cycle sales career. Our Ideal Candidate The candidate should be able to interact with prospects over the phone, email, and social media. A talent for recognizing patterns, applying buyer persona training, and following up after events is essential. Responsibilities Book meetings for Field Sales Reps (FSRs) Qualify leads and turn them into opportunities Generate leads and develop the outbound pipeline using various tools Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date database records Meet phone and email activity quotas Collaborate with Marketing and Channel teams on ad‑hoc projects Master sales and research tools Research prospective organizations that can benefit from SecurityScorecard’s cloud‑based solutions Identify decision‑makers within target organizations Basic Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or business development Proven track record of consistent and effective sales development performance Experience crafting creative, persistent, and effective outbound sales messaging Excellent communication, discovery, and presentation skills to connect with and persuade senior‑level decision‑makers Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Outreach, and LinkedIn Additional Qualifications Self‑starter comfortable with limited supervision Strong problem‑solving and research skills for identifying new prospects Tech‑savvy and quick to navigate new software Receptive to feedback, coaching, and improvement Works with urgency and a positive, “no challenge is too great” attitude Benefits Benefits: Specific to each country, we offer a competitive salary, stock options, health benefits, unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursements, and more. Compensation The estimated total compensation range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills and experience.
