About the Position

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in the specialty required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: Must have a vehicle for this assignment Description: Position will float between units to meet departmental needs. On-call is not required. Weekends are required, at least every other weekend. Block schedules are not required. Expected patient ratios are 1:4. Special requirements include ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications. Epic charting experience is required. We are happy to accommodate first-time travelers with over 2 years of experience. It is common for travelers to float to other units based on their skill sets, and they may also float to nearby facilities. Travelers will be expected to be flexible with assignments and floating. Daily census in the unit averages around 160 patients with a high volume of visits per day. Patient populations include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Diverse patient diagnoses are typical, with a focus on both emergency medicine and inpatient behavioral health care. The facility supports a variety of interdisciplinary teams. Maintaining effective patient assignment based on workload intensity is crucial. Travelers who float to special facilities will receive additional incentives. Time off requests must be submitted upfront and are subject to approval. Inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to contract termination. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless for an agreed-upon interview. Modules are required and need to be completed before starting the assignment. Completion of modules will be recorded for compliance.
