Overview
Registered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in a clinic setting located in Zanesville, Ohio. Start date options: 09/21/2026 (with a 13-week contract) or 10/19/2026 for eligible travelers. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Days. This assignment targets adult Med-Surg populations with telemetry/step-down care needs. The RN will work primarily on Med-Surg duties and may float to related units; every other weekend is required. There is no on-call requirement. Epic EMR proficiency is required and will be tested on day one. Active BLS certification is required. A minimum of 3 years of current Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience is expected.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult Med-Surg patients in a clinic setting, with telemetry/step-down needs; may float to related Med-Surg units as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry, identify clinical changes, and respond to alarms; escalate to the care team as required.
- Administer prescribed medications and manage IV therapies according to physician orders; document administration and patient response.
- Document patient information accurately in the Epic EMR; demonstrate telemetry competency on day one and maintain ongoing proficiency.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety standards; no on-call requirement; daytime hours with weekend rotation as specified.

Requirements
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience; must be able to read telemetry and pass a competency assessment on day one.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required.
- Ability to float to multiple Med-Surg units as needed; day shift availability; no on-call requirements.
- Start date options include 09/21/2026 or 10/19/2026 for eligible travelers.
