Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of combined Labor and Delivery and Postpartum experience. License: Active state nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, BSN. Must-Have: - Demonstrated competency in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum areas. - Cross-trained and willing to float among multiple units. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work in a Perinatal Float Pool. The role requires cross-training and rotation among Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and LDRP units. Candidates must have at least two years of combined experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum. Demonstrated competency in both areas is a hard requirement. The nurse will need to be available to work additional shifts as unit needs arise. The position involves caring for a variety of high-risk obstetric patients. Responsibilities may include supporting vaginal deliveries, managing complications, and providing patient education. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care. The position may also require participation in protocols and special procedures related to maternal and neonatal health. Floating among units and possibly between campuses is mandatory. The appropriate environment and facilities are provided to ensure the best patient outcomes. The position requires strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and effective communication. The nurse must adhere to safety and infection control policies throughout their practice.
