Graphic Designer 3 Graphic Designer 3 at Murphy & Associates, Inc. – San Jose, CA. Hybrid onsite in Silicon Valley, CA. $39.15/hr, $6,890/month (depending on experience). Murphy & Associates provides technology and business consulting services to over 150 diverse clients in the Greater Seattle Area since 1980. The Client A large technology company based in the Greater Seattle Area that develops software, services, products, and hardware devices. Responsibilities The main function is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. Requires high creativity, strong communication with internal and external clients, flexibility to client demands, ability to work well under pressure, and multitasking skills. Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communication problems. Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design. Prepare sketches or layouts to present to clients. Create charts and graphs from provided data. Skills and Experience Minimum 1–2 years of experience with Figma. Minimum 5 years of experience with PowerPoint deck creation. Minimum 5 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Overall experience: 5–7 years in the field. Qualifications Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem‑solving ability. Basic ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic, and film. Basic ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design. Previous experience using a computer to create layouts and generate new images. Experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software. Associate’s degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required. Bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferred. Disqualifiers: Candidates with only freelance experience or who are freelancing on the side will not be eligible. Ideal resume: Strong deck creation, infographics, chart and brand design. PowerPoint skills are a must. Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, storytelling chops, and feedback from the team. Work Environment Start & End: 5/27/2025 – 6/30/2025. Schedule: M‑F, 40 hrs a week, no OT expected. Typical Tasks: 25% meeting/assignment intake, 25% working on edits, 50% storytelling and deck creation. Interaction Level: High level of interaction with Team & Sponsor. Location: Hybrid in SVC; must be onsite 1–2 days a week. Extension: Planning to extend into FY26 once budget approved.
