KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Cloud Specialist for an immediate contract engagement with our client.

Job Description :

We Are Seeking a skilled Cloud Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable cloud architectures supporting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments. This role will focus on cloud migration, infrastructure performance, security, compliance, automation, and cost optimization across major public cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, cloud networking, server administration, automation, and infrastructure management, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and modify scalable cloud architectures supporting IaaS and PaaS environments.

· Plan and execute the secure migration of on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.

· Configure, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure to support performance, scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

· Implement and maintain security controls, compliance measures, and data protection practices across cloud environments.

· Design and maintain cloud networking components, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), firewalls, network configurations, and connectivity solutions.

· Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

· Analyze infrastructure utilization and performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

· Develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting and automation technologies.

· Utilize PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting tools to automate infrastructure management and operational processes.

· Manage virtual machines and cloud-based computing resources across Windows and Linux environments.

· Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and related infrastructure services.

· Support Linux-based systems and infrastructure as needed.

· Design and implement controls and processes using available auditing and monitoring tools.

· Support cloud security, auditing, compliance, and governance initiatives.

· Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, security, networking, and other technical teams to improve cloud-based environments.

· Evaluate cloud products, services, and technologies to identify opportunities for modernization and operational improvement.

· Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, operating system, and virtualization issues.

· Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of cloud platforms, products, services, and emerging technologies.

· Assist with infrastructure lifecycle management, technology upgrades, and cloud modernization initiatives.

· Identify opportunities to improve reliability, operational efficiency, scalability, and cloud resource utilization.

· Document cloud architectures, configurations, processes, procedures, and operational standards.

Required Skills

· Experience with at least one major public cloud platform, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

· Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration.

· Advanced understanding of cloud networking, including network architecture, connectivity, and firewall technologies.

· Intermediate experience with PowerShell.

· Experience with Microsoft 365.

· Experience managing virtual machines and cloud infrastructure.

· Experience with cloud security, compliance, data protection, and privacy practices.

· Experience with cloud migration of applications, workloads, and/or databases from on-premises environments.

· Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting.

· Understanding of virtual private cloud (VPC) concepts and cloud networking architecture.

· Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

· Ability to evaluate cloud technologies and apply appropriate solutions to business and technical requirements.

Preferred Skills

· 5–6+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

· Advanced or subject matter expert-level experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

· Advanced experience with Linux administration.

· Intermediate experience with VMware vSphere.

· Intermediate experience with Python.

· Intermediate experience with Bash scripting.

· Advanced experience with storage technologies.

· Prior experience working in government or other highly regulated environments.

· Experience designing and implementing cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions.

· Experience with cloud monitoring, auditing, and infrastructure optimization tools
